Why we run

Some people come because a friend already runs on Saturdays. Some come because the doctor said to walk, and walking turned into a slow jog at the back. A few already train for races and want a group on the days they would otherwise go alone.
The photo is a Saturday pack on a Hitchin street, with the church spire ahead. People head the same way at different speeds. That is the point of the club.
Furlong does not ask you to pick a reason. You pick a list. Beginner runs stay short. Weekly runs keep a regular time. Long runs are for when the short ones feel easy. All three leave from North Hertfordshire, and all three wait.
