The Morning Run

The gate at Bancroft Recreation Ground is the meeting point. 08:05 to say hello, 08:15 to start. In winter it is still dark. In summer the grass is already warm.

The group in the photo is seen from behind, which is how the run actually looks: you spend most of it looking at the person in front, not at a camera. If you are new, stand with the shorter loop. Someone will point out the turn.

Afterwards people walk back across the ground. There is no clubhouse. If you want coffee, the town is five minutes away and you can go with whoever else is going.
